Blooms & Butterflies August 2016 Color Challenge: Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics & Watercolor Wings
I have a fun card that I made for a Color Challenge
to share with you today!
I am part of a team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators called the Blooms & Butterflies. The Blooms are Hobbyist Demonstrators and the Butterflies are Career Demonstrators. It is such a supportive and inspiring group of very talented ladies! We will be doing a monthly Color Challenge hosted over at our Team Leader's website BrandysCards.com
You can head over to Brandy's website to see all of the beautiful cards that my teammates made using the color combination below.
I hadn't used my Butterfly stamp sets in a while so I grabbed them for this challenge. Oh how I love these sets! Each stamp set is available in a bundle with matching dies and when you buy the stamp set and the die sets bundled together you save 10% off! Both bundles work so well together, too!
I ended up making a nice little set of these cards. This is one of my favorite kinds of card designs - it is super simple and you don't have to stamp perfectly for it to look perfect! Those background pattern stamps are so forgiving :)
This is another card from the matching set. The black stripe behind the butterfly is stamped much more solidly on this card, but they both look great.
Here's a couple close-ups. Here you can see the dimension the wings have. I just put some liquid glue under the body of the butterfly so the wings could stand out. You could use glue dots, too.
Below is a list of the products that I used to create this card with links to my online store for easy shopping! Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my card! I hope I've inspired you to create something today!
I challenge you to play along!
Leave me a link in the comments below so I can check out your creations with this color combo! Or, you can Email me a photo of your cards and I will feature them here on my blog! As always, feel free to Contact Me with any Questions!
