I always love her projects!

This month, we are sharing projects that we created using our favorite products from the Retiring List!  Have you seen the Retiring List yet?  You can check out all of the products on the Retiring List HERE.

This time of year is always bittersweet for me.  I'm always sad to see some beloved products go, but they are retiring to make room for all of the awesome new products that will be released in the new catalog on June 1st!  And, I'm always excited to grab some retiring stamp sets at a discount and stock up on my favorite retiring papers and embellishments while they are on sale!

There are a lot of items on the Retiring List that I am sad to see going, but one product suite really stands out from the rest.  I was so surprised to see that the entire Going Places Product Suite from the 2016 Occasions Catalog is retiring!  It is a must have set with so many great sentiments and images that make it so versatile for many occasions AND it is awesome for masculine cards!  The Going Places Product Suite includes the Going Global Stamp Set, World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Going Global Designer Series Paper and Coordinating Cardstock Pack.  I highly recommend snatching these up quickly if you love them as much as I do!  Stampin' Up! will continue to produce stamps from the retiring list through May 22nd, but the rest of the items will only be available while supplies last and could sell out anytime!

I had so much fun playing with the Going Global stamp set!  I think these two cards came out so cute and they are so easy to make!  I always struggle designing cards for the men in my life, but this set makes it so simple!  I'm super excited to be all set for Father's Day!  I'm never prepared this far ahead!  And, those patterned papers!  Adore!  I am stocking up on the Going Global Designer Series Paper for sure!

You'll have to excuse me ending every sentence with an exclamation point :)  I'm super excited to share these with you!

For this card, I started with a Very Vanilla card base that measures 4.25 x 5.5"  The green patterned layer is from the Going Global Designer Series Paper and measures 4 x 5.25"  I cut the yellow banner by hand from a scrap of the retiring Hello Honey card stock and added two retiring Real Red Candy Dots.  I stamped the Globe image in retiring Lost Lagoon ink on Very Vanilla card stock and I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black ink on Real Red card stock.

I also used the Sweetheart Punch and the 2" Circle Punch.  Luckily, those are not retiring!

For this card, I also started with a Very Vanilla card base that measures 4.25 x 5.5"  The map patterned layer is from the Going Global Designer Series Paper and measures 4 x 5.25"  I stamped the globe image in retiring Mossy Meadow ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  I used a sponge dauber to color in the water areas of the globe in retiring Lost Lagoon ink before punching it out with my 2" Circle Punch.  For the sentiment, I stamped "world's best dad" in retiring Lost Lagoon ink and I used the banner stamp and matching framelit from the Number of Years bundle.  I played around with a few color combinations, but I liked the border stamped in retiring Mossy Meadow ink best.

Finally, I assembled it all together using Glue Dots for the ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals for the globe and Tear and Tape for the sentiment.  That Lost Lagoon Striped Cotton Ribbon is retiring, too!  I tell you, I am going to miss the 2014-2016 In Colors most of all!  I absolutely adored this set of 5 In Colors and I am also stocking up on refills for my ink pads and card stocks in these colors.  I just adore them!

At the end of this post there is a list of all of the products that I used to create these cards.  They are linked to my online store if I have inspired you to do some shopping :)

  2. Oh, I love this set too! Such a great set for masculine cards, which I have such a hard time with in the first place. As much as I hate to see good sets go, I always look so forward to playing with the new ones! I love how nicely both of your cards turned out. :-)

  6. I thought this was a must-have suite of products too, Danica! I love all the cards you made, and the use of the ribbon behind the banner - it looks like another banner. Very cool :)
