Celebrating all things beautiful and finding beauty in all things! From nail polish and makeup to Project Life, scrapbooking and cardmaking, this is a blog about my many loves.
The color combination is so pretty and perfect for Spring!
In the video above I share everything that came in the kit and a few ideas to add a little extra wow to each of the card designs. I also share my technique for getting that messy thread look that is so popular right now.
So, I basically created all three cards as designed with a few little tweaks. This is the card that I demonstrated in the video. I decided not to add the sequins to this card and added a few Rhinestones instead.
I created this card following the included instructions, but added Rhinestones to the flower centers. I also used some Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the sentiment banners.
For the third card design, I followed the included instructions, but I added Gold Metallic Tread behind the sentiment. I also colored the white die cut from the kit using a Sponge Dauber and Pool Party ink before stamping my sentiment. I think it helps the sentiment really stand out on the card.
After creating the last card, I still wanted to step it up a bit so I used my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set with the included Blackberry Bliss ink and I stamped the splatter pattern over the printed blue splatter pattern on the card base.
We received 3 of these card bases in the kit so I decided to add a little more to my last one. I adhered some Rhinestones to the flower centers and I love how it turned out! I think this one is my favorite!
Here you can see the first and the last of these 3 cards side by side. The last one really stands out and the only difference is the Rhinestones and splatter stamping! It just shows you how a few simple little tweaks can make a big difference!
I still have lots left over from my kit so keep an eye on my blog for more fun alternate card ideas! I'm super excited to create some cards using the negative space from those die cut sticker sheets! I loved using this kit so much that I even ordered some refills so I'll be sharing lots of fun ways to use this kit :) That is another perk of being a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber!
