Go Pink Wednesday: Funky French Ruffle

I have some nail art for you today! Rare, I know :)  This is my very first Ruffle Mani so I thought I would keep it simple and just do the ruffle on my tips.
We are going pink on Wednesdays for Breast Cancer Awareness month and I wanted to add some purple because it is also Domestic Violence Awareness month.
I used Orly Decades of Dysfunction, China Glaze Dance Baby and Sephora by OPI Just a Little Dangerous.
I do not have dotting tools so I just used a bobby pin to create a row of dots to make the ruffle effect.  It is a little uneven, but I love how it turned out.  I really like the shimmer in Just a Little Dangerous.  It only showed up well in my first photo, though.
What do you think of this look?
Have you tried a Ruffle Manicure before?

  1. This looks so cool. I don't have dotting tools either. Great idea using bobby pins. I need to try this. I love how you used two different shades.

  5. This is so cute! I haven't done the ruffle mani yet but when I do i'll probably do it this way too, I think it looks better with just the tips than covering the whole nail.
