June Birchbox Review

I have been slacking on my Sunday Samples recently so I thought I would catch up with my June Birchbox Review :)

The June Birchbox has a Jet Setter theme.
Here is a list of everything included.
I always love the presentation. A pretty little present :)
Here is the full line up of everything included.

Borghese: Botanico Eye Compresses -  2 eye compresses - These were nice as a sample, but I would never have time to use these on a regular basis.  If I lie down for ten minutes, I'm going to sleep, lol.  But seriously, when I used these I fell asleep!  So I had them on for about 20 minutes instead of 10.  It felt nice, soothing but I did not notice any difference in my eye area after one use. - Full Size pack of 60 $51 - value $1.70

Jouer: Luminizing Moisture Tint (color Bronze) -  .07 fl oz - This tinted moisturizer is oil-free and has an SPF of 20. The color was a bit too dark for me but I really liked the finish.  It was very natural looking and stayed matte longer than most tinted moisturizers do on my skin in the summer. The color range is pretty limited with only 5 shades to choose from and from the sample photos online there does not seem to be a match for me.  I was disappointed that it was such a small sample.  I only was able to use it for one full face application, but that was enough to see that it was too dark for my skin tone.- Full Size 1.7 oz $38 - value $1.56

Scalisi Skincare: Anti-Aging Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 -  .2 oz - I am not one to skimp when it comes to skin care, but for me that means spending around $50 for a moisturizer.  The price of this one is a bit of a jump from my comfort zone, but I really loved it!  My skin drinks this right in. It feels so lightweight for a moisturizer with an SPF of 30!  This might be my next big beauty splurge. - Full Size 1.7 oz $110 - value $12.94

the Balm: Stainiac (color Beauty Queen) -  .04 fl oz - I am normally not a fan of lip stains because they leave my lips feeling dry, but this one does not! It applies so easily and smoothly and feels like water on my lips. It left a pretty pink tint to my lips for three hours before I had to reapply, but I did use a lip balm over it so that may have shortened the wear time.  It was very pretty and easy to use.  I have not used it as a cheek stain yet.  I don't wear cheek color that often in the summer because me cheeks are naturally quite rosey. I am anxious to try it in the Fall, though.  I really enjoyed it as a lip stain, but the price has me a bit on the fence about purchasing the full size.  I may wait and see if I can catch it on a sale :) - Full Size .3 fl oz $17 - value $2.27

Total Value: $18.47

Lifestyle Extra...
Band-Aid: Cynthia Rowley Dress Up Bandaids -  Full size pack of 20 - I really like these! Everyone uses Band-Aids, right? Why not use pretty ones? I wasn't very impressed with this month's box and I think this might be my favorite thing in it! - 2 packs of 20 $14

Birchbox Man Extra...
John Varvatos: Star USA -  .04 fl oz - I gave this to my boyfriend.  It smelled nice, but not really interesting enough to run out and get the full size.  There is a long list of notes in the description of the fragrance , but it just don't smell that complex to me. - Full Size 1.7 oz $55

Overall I was just a bit "meh" about this month's Birchbox. I have been loving my monthly Birchboxes and I really enjoy the whole experience of the subscription service.  I like getting a little present every month and I love trying out new things.  I really like deluxe samples because I can't really form a decent opinion on most products from only one use.  So, I guess my biggest problem with this month's box was that the only deluxe samples were the Stainiac and the Scalisi Moisturizer and the other two were just one time use samples.

We will see what next month has in store for me.  I can't believe it is July already!

What do you think of these items? Have you tried any of them?

What did you get in your Birchbox?
