Today I want to share everything I created using my August 2015 My Paper Pumpkin Kit called Chalk it up to Love. I used up just about everything in my kit this month and I made 12 cards and one complete gift box! I decided to wait to make the other 2 gift boxes until I needed to use them.
This is the first (second and third) card that I made with the kit and I showed you already in my first post about this kit. Everything I used to make these cards was in the kit except for the very vanilla card base.
I made three cards with this design all on Whisper White card bases. I also added some Basic Black card stock for layering and a metallic gold doilie.
This design might be my favorite. I used a Very Vanilla card base, Basic Black card stock for layering, a small metallic gold doilie and Venetian Crochet Trim for the bow.
This one isn't my favorite. I think I should have used pink for the banner instead of white, but I love the pearls! Those are the metal rimmed pearls and the set comes with 3 sizes.
I was determined to use the flower die cuts on a card, but it took me forever to figure out how I wanted to do that. I really like how it turned out, but then I thought...
What if I added a gold doilie? Oh my! I love it even more!
Here they are side by side. The doilie makes such a big difference!
I made this gift box following the included instructions.
I wanted to alter the flower a bit so I decided to add some stamping and I love how it turned out.
I stamped the bottom layer with the curly circle, left the center layer plain, and stamped the top layer with the small flourish.
Here you can see how I stamped each layer and how I curled the petals up just a tiny bit more with each layer.
When I rolled the flower centers I fluffed up the fringe first and then started rolling the strip toward the side I put the adhesive on. Very easy and so pretty!
If you want to see more, I made another video.

I love My Paper Pumpkin!!! For those of you new to My Paper Pumpkin, it is a monthly kit that includes everything you need for a little crafty escape for only $19.95 a month. Your kit will come with a stamp set, 1-2 mini ink pads, and all of the pre cut materials to make different projects every month. I was having so much fun with my monthly kits that I signed up to be a demonstrator! You can use my referral link here to join in on the crafty fun with My Paper Pumpkin today!
The August 2015 Kit titled Chalk it Up to Love came with all the supplies needed to make 6 cards with envelopes and 3 gift boxes with tags. First I'll show you everything that came in the kit, then I'll show you what I made.
I love seeing this aqua tissue paper!
This month's mini ink pad is a white pigment ink. That is yet another thing I love about My Paper Pumpkin. You can really build a nice collection of different ink colors without having to purchase the large stamp pads.
The photopolymer stamp set has 4 different sentiments and 3 different design accents. All great additions to your stamp collection!
This is the bundle of all of the other kit materials with the instruction sheet. Inside you will find...
3 sheets of die cuts to layer together to make 3 flowers
3 black fringe die cuts to roll up for the flower centers
3 black die cut sheets of tags & labels
3 die cut, pre-scored gift boxes with gold foil polka dots
6 pre-scored card bases - 3 each of 2 designs
Here's a close up of the card bases. I love that gold foil!!!
6 envelopes and 6 die cut banners
And, last but not least... 3m sticky strips, Stampin' Dimensionals and black ribbon. I just love that My Paper Pumpkin even includes the adhesive. Everything you need for a creative escape in one cute red box :)
So, what did I create this month?
I love that gold foil and chalkboard look! This month's kit is so cute and trendy! I made 3 cards like this one and everything I used was from the kit with the exception of the Very Vanilla card base. And, I made a video showing the kit contents and how I made the cards above.
After filming I kept right on crafting! I made 2 more cards just like the one I made in the video and then I wanted to play with the cute pink cards with the gold bows and I created the card below.
For this card I grabbed some Basic Black card stock and a metallic Gold Doilie. I cut the bow card base in half, just like I did with the striped card above. Then I matted it leaving a 1/4" border on Basic Black and mounted that on a Whisper White card base leaving a 1/4" border again. So, my finished card was 5.5"x 4" a little smaller than a standard size. For the banner I used the pink one from the kit and I hand cut the black card stock banner to be slightly larger, using the pink one as a guide. Then I grabbed a gold doilie and layered it all together. I used snail to adhere everything except the black stamped label die cut. I popped that up with stampin' dimensionals.
Make sure to Subscribe to see what else I make using this months kit! I will link all of the products I used below.
