Alternative Card Ideas using Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin July 2017 Kit Positively Picturesque

Hi Guys!!!  I have had such a busy month!  Where has the Summer gone!?!  I can't even believe that we are halfway through August already.  In fact, my August Paper Pumpkin has already shipped and I'm just sharing all of the cards I created with July's Kit!

For those of you unfamiliar with Paper Pumpkin, it is a monthly subscription craft kit from Stampin' Up!  Every month is a creative surprise with everything you need to create adorable predesigned projects.  You also get a mini ink pad (or two!) and an exclusive stamp set in every month's kit.  That is probably my favorite part.  Subscribing to Paper Pumpkin is a great way to build up your ink & stamp collection.  And, the projects are always so cute & easy!

The video above shows you everything we got in this month's kit.  You really get a lot of bang for you buck.  The kits are only $19.95 a month & that includes shipping!
And, it gets even better!  If you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin by 9/10/17 you can save 50% OFF you first month when you enter the promo code: HALFOFF0917

I love to create the projects just as they are designed when I first get my kit in the mail and then I love to really get creative and come up with alternative ways to use my kit's contents.

I made the two cards above following the kit's instructions.  Aren't they so cute!?!  I love the washi tapes that we got in the kit this month.  It was the washi tape that inspired me to create the card below.

The washi tape creates a really fun background for this super simple card.  And, I just love the font used in the exclusive stamp set in this month's kit.  I'm going to get a ton of use out of this "thanks" stamp!

You can watch the video above to see how I created the card above & I also show everything that came in the kit this month.

I created this card using the envelopes that came in this month's kit.  They were lined with this pattern in out new In Color, Lemon Lime Twist. I cut up one of the envelopes so I could use it on this card & I also used a couple of my favorite punches. This card super quick & easy!

Oh, it is so hard to pick a favorite, but I do love this one!  I think it is because I love that Happy Birthday die so much!  That die is part of a bundle with one of my favorite stamp sets in the new Stampin' Up! catalog called Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  And, of course it also has sequins :)

I haven't created a card with the messy thread look in a while and I do love it!  I think it complemented the watercolor wash background nicely.  I accented the focal point with a few of those little sunburst stamps that were in the kit this month.  They are the perfect size to pop a little sequin right in the middle.

This card was probably the most fun to create.  Sometimes you just want to get your fingers inky :)  I usually have to try to hold myself back when I'm creating these ink speckles so I don't go overboard.  They are just so fun!

You can watch to video below to see how I created this card.

In the video I promise to show you the card I created with the heart die cut that I used as a mask in the card above, so here it is!  Cute, right?  And, oh so simple!

I just stamped the plus sign border stamp that came in the kit a couple times in basic black ink.  I also used my basic black ink pad to color the wood word "love" from the kit.  I just dunked it into the top of the ink pad a few times to color it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  I hope you enjoyed these card ideas.  I would love it if you would leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  And, please Contact Me with any questions you have!  I'm always happy to help!

You should have arrived here from Mary's Blog.
I always love her projects!

This month, we are sharing projects created with our favorite Stampin' Up! items!  I am so excited to see what all of my fellow blogging friends choose!  It could be anything - our favorite Stampin' Up! stamp set, tool, embellishment, or even color!  My choice was easy.  My favorite thing from Stampin' Up! is Paper Pumpkin!

You can buy pre-paid subscriptions to Paper Pumpkin in my online store or you can choose to subscribe month to month.

I just love that the projects are simple, quick & cute!  When I get my Paper Pumpkin Kit in the mail, I usually like to make a few of the projects following the instructions like I did with the cards above.  Then, I like to go off script and create something totally different with the kit contents.  I love coming up with alternative ways to use my Paper Pumpkin kits!  I was super excited to see 2 rolls of washi tape in the kit this month and there is so much leftover so I wanted to design a card focused on that gorgeous washi tape!  This washi tape is really cool, too because the plus signs on it line up so when you place strips of the tape next to each other it creates a continuous pattern.

I just love the way the strips of washi tape create an unexpected backdrop for the dragonflies.  This is so simple to create!  If you can put tape down on paper, you can do this!  And, it is such a great way to bust through some of your washi tape stash!  I'm excited to try this with other washi tapes, too!

The "thanks" stamp was from the exclusive stamp set in this month's kit so all I used from my stash is some cardstock, dies, and a little bit of bling with the basic Rhinestones!  I love stretching my Paper Pumpkin Kit & creating even more cards beyond the predesigned projects!

The cardstocks I used were...
Whisper White
Basic Black
Soft Sky

The dies I used...
Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies
Layering Circles Framelits Dies

Rustic Rooster Just a Note" Cards with New Stampin' Up! Wood Words Stamp Set

Hi Guys!
In my last blog post I shared a card I created with the brand new Wood Words Stamp Set that is available in the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog.   Well, I can't stop playing with the Wood Words stamp set!!!  So, I have two more cards to share with you today.

I was trying to use up some of my older products to make room for all of the new items that I've been ordering from the new catalog when I came across some leftover bits from the Stitched with Cheer Project Kit that was from last year's Holiday Catalog.  I thought that the red plaid envelope liners had the perfect country look to pair up with the new Wood Words Stamp Set!

In the video below, I explain how I created 2 cards from one of the envelope liners in the Stitched with Cheer Project Kit.  I love stretching my supplies & using all my scraps!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  I hope you enjoyed these card ideas.  If you would like to request a copy of the new catalog Click Here or you can browse through the catalog online Here.

If I have inspired you to do some shopping I have all of the products that I used to create these cards listed below with links to my online store.  And, if you plan on doing some shopping, always check out my sales & specials tab at the top of this page first for all of the current promotions available!
